Wonderwater @ Triennale Caffè, Broken Nature XXII Triennale di Milano, 1 March – 1 September 2019

Wonderwater Café is a pop up event at the Triennale Caffè in Milan for Broken Nature. Curated by Paola Antonelli, Broken Nature studies the state of the connections between humans and their natural environments, and celebrates design’s ability to offer powerful insight into the key issues of our age.

Wonderwater is designed to raise awareness of the water footprint and make us think about the impact of what we eat on local and global water resources. The Wonderwater menu shows a breakdown of the water footprint of dishes served at the Triennale Caffè, revealing how water is used in the production of a Pizza Margherita, a dish of Gnocchi with Zucchini, or a tiramisù.

Wonderwater is a project developed by Jane Withers and Kari Korkman to raise awareness of global water issues and design for a sustainable future. Wonderwater @ Triennale Caffè was developed in collaboration with Dr. Naho Mirumachi and Arthur Fuest at King’s Water Hub, King’s College London.
