Water Futures, A/D/O New York, 2018 - 2019
Water Futures was a year-long research programme exploring new tools and methods to help designers tackle the global water crisis, curated by Jane Withers Studio.
Conceived with experts including the Columbia University Water Center, this year-long investigation invited designers, historians, scientists, engineers and artists to pool their expertise and collaborate on new approaches to water challenges. A rich programme of multi-disciplinary exhibitions, lectures, workshops, public programmes and commissions framed experimental new ways of thinking about water. An open call design challenge invited designers from around the world to contribute to the debate.
The year’s work is brought together in the Water Futures Catalogue which forms a valuable resource and body of knowledge with the aim of informing and inspiring a wider design audience.
