Echoes: Cassina. 50 Years of iMaestri, 2024

This book has been published to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the launch of Cassina’s iMaestri Collection, ‘A celebration of the past with a new vision of the future’. Jane joins a roster of international contributors in reflecting on the legacy of this collection. Her essay expands on how analysing the enduring appeal of twentieth century designs might contribute to sustainable production and product longevity for contemporary furniture. As Jane points out, ‘the life stories of these design ‘classics’ are far from static […] Each generation brings its own interpretation that reflects not just the manufacturing technologies of the day but also shifting cultural and societal values.’

During London Design Festival 2023 the book was previewed with a panel discussion between Jane, Patricia Urquiola and Federica Sala at the Cassina showroom in Brompton Design District, London.
